Certificate of Attendance

A Certificate of Attendance for regular delegates and MSC-Students/PhD Students can only be acquired in the designated areas in the conference centre. It cannot be issued after the conference.

CME Credits

The conference has been granted 18 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).

The TREAT-NMD Conference 2011 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS),

EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

Conference Bag

The conference bag, containing the conference material, will be available at the conference bag desk in the registration area.

Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner will take place take place on 10 November 2011, from 20:00 to 23:00. All registered participants are invited to attend this event, the cost of which is included in the registration fee. See the social programme section for further details.

Conference Language

The conference language will be English.

Letter of Invitation

Individuals requiring an official Letter of Invitation can request one during the online registration process or from the TREAT NMD Conference Registration Department. To receive a Letter of Invitation, attendees must first register for the conference and submit payment in full. Letters of Invitation will not be sent after the standard registration deadline.

Attendees who require a Letter of Invitation for an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the visa application procedure.

The Letter of Invitation does not financially obligate the conference organisers in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the conference are the sole responsibility of the attendee.

Name Badge

The name badge must be worn at all times during the conference. Access to the conference facilities will not be granted without a proper name badge. If an attendee loses, misplaces or forgets the name badge, a handling fee of 30.00 EUR will be charged for a new name badge. Upon handing out a new name badge, the lost badge will become invalid.

Personal Insurance

The organisers do not accept responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. All participants are strongly advised to make their own personal insurance before travelling to the conference.

Poster Area / Poster Sessions

Posters will be presented on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 18:30 to 20:00, on Wednesday, November 9 from 14:00 to 16:00 and on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 13:30 to 15:30. Poster authors will be asked to be present next to their poster during these times.

Programme Changes

The organisers shall not be held liable for any changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances.

Visa Requirements for Switzerland

Switzerland is a member of the Schengen Area. Individuals already in possession of a valid Schengen visa do not require a separate visa for Switzerland. Citizens of the following countries do not need a visa but must produce a valid passport: countries of the American Continent (except Belize, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Peru), European Union, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The Schengen regulations apply for entry and for a stay that is not subject to authorisation up to three months. For individuals who are required to hold a visa, Switzerland will issue Schengen visas for a stay up to three months that are valid for the whole Schengen area.

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his/her visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications.

The organisers will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.

If a visa application is not successful and the attendee is therefore unable to attend the conference, the registration fee minus a handling fee of 30.00 EUR will be refunded after the conference if the visa was applied for in time and an official proof of the embassy confirming that a visa could not be granted is forwarded to the TREAT-NMD 2011 Registration Department.
